Bayanni began to record covers of popular songs that he posted on his social media pages to foster his career growth. In April 2021, he recorded and released the cover of Felony by Ckay. He released the cover of Jowo by Davido on the 14th Of October 2021. Five days later, he dropped the cover of Peru by Fireboy DML on the 19th Of October 2021.

On the 12th Of April 2022, Bayanni dropped his highly-anticipated single titled African Beauty. The song was produced by Blaise Beatz, while Michael Synx handled the mixing. The visuals for the single were shot by Pharouk Damilola Films and released on the same day.

African Beauty has amassed thousands of streams and downloads since its release. The song is steadily climbing the Afropop charts in the country.
