This is one of only two productions to date in which both siblings have featured onscreen; the other was The Forger, in which Jansen lent his voice to Racing Stripes, in which Hayden appeared. Jansen had a supporting role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Tiger Cruise, which starred his sister Hayden. In the show “The X’s,” he provided the voice of the character Truman X. In the Nickelodeon movie “The Last Day of Summer,” which had its premiere on July 20, 2007, he played the role of Lucas Malloy, which was written specifically for television. It was made available on DVD for the first time on August 28, 2007.
His subsequent movie, titled The Perfect Game, was scheduled to be shown in theaters on August 8, 2008; however, Lionsgate Pictures made the decision to delay the film’s release until the spring of 2010.
William Sweet is the director of The Perfect Game, which is based on the actual tale of how a team of young boys from Monterrey, Mexico became the first team from a country other than the United States to win the Little League World Series. In addition, Panettiere appears alongside Gavin MacLeod in the film The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry, which is directed by Rich Christiano and is about the relationship between faith and friendship. On March 3, 2012, he made his debut alongside Martin Sheen, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Christine Lahti in the role of Elliott Perry in Dustin Lance Black’s play 8, which was a reenactment of the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial. The play was performed at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. In order to generate money for the American Foundation for Equal Rights, the concert was uploaded to YouTube and streamed online. In 2019, Jansen appeared as a guest star on the television series The Walking Dead on the AMC network and also co-starred in How High 2 on MTV.
