Under his leadership, Metropolitan Bank Zimbabwe Limited became known for its innovative products and services, including mobile banking and microfinance.
In 2008, Robert was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan International Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Metropolitan Bank Zimbabwe Limited. He was responsible for overseeing the operations of the company’s subsidiaries in South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia.
In addition to his successful career in the financial services industry, Robert Madzonga is also known for his philanthropic work and community service. He is the founder of the Robert Madzonga Foundation, a non-profit organization that is committed to empowering young people in Zimbabwe.
