Musa Keys is a South African musician and producer who has taken the Amapiano scene by storm. Born on June 24, 1997, in Pretoria, South Africa, Musa Keys started playing the piano at the age of 5 and began his music production career at the age of 15. Musa Keys’ interest in music started at an early age. His father, who was a jazz pianist, introduced him to the piano when he was just 5 years old. He quickly developed a passion for playing the piano and started performing at local events and church services.
At the age of 15, Musa Keys started producing music using a basic computer and music software. He was inspired by the likes of Black Coffee, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza De Small, and began experimenting with different genres. However, it was Amapiano that caught his attention, and he started producing Amapiano beats that were unique and different from what was already out there.
Musa Keys’ breakthrough came in 2019 with the release of his hit single “Vula Mlomo” featuring Sir Trill and Nobantu Vilakazi. The song quickly became a national anthem in South Africa, and its success propelled Musa Keys to the forefront of the Amapiano scene.
